The Onion Lamp

The ONION - designed by DARIA BURLINSKA from Polish design studio DBWT - is ceiling light object spreading dispersed light. Made of a giant slice of polyethylene foam. Due to environmental issues and safety reasons the Onion digests energy saving bulbs or LED-bulbs only. Comes in two versions: powered via socket / powered via ceiling connector. The Onion Light got a Finalist of Well Designed Awards 2009 (Dobry Wzór) Certificate. It is a prestigious prize of Polish Institute of Industrial Design. Displayed at 2008 100%Design / London, 2009 SaloneSatellite / Milan.
