Northbeach Residence by Heliotrope Architects

The Seattle based Heliotrope Architects designed this summer residence located in the San Juan Islands in their home state of Washington. The beautifully treed site is in a federally designated flood plain area and additionally is archeologically significant as it was the home for over a 1000 years to the Lummi Indians. Under these constraints the architects were able to create a lovely, low-impact and easy to maintain, summer home oriented to the beach on the Strait of Georgia.
