BioSurf, a New Biolaminate from Baltix

BioSurf is a new "biolaminate" digitally printed material made from a proprietary blend of soybean and corn biopolymers. With this new technology, patterns such as wood, cork, bamboo, etc are embedded under a clear wear layer and then can be adhered to an agrifiber composite or other "green" substrate. The BioSurf material is favorably compared with high-pressure laminates for performance due to it's abrasion, scratch and stain resistance; also test results have shown better durability than HPL's. As an organic material it can be recycled or composted.
