This antique oak was previously used as siding boards for tobacco drying barns and the conditions that made for a good cure of the tobacco leaf also helped preserve the oak siding; the PatinaDeep product will have a partially milled face which leaves some of the original weathering and texture; some of the boards will be ceter cuts from the siding showing the bright wood, but retaining the texture we add by sawing; this process creates beautiful distinctions between the original weathered wood and the newly milled bright wood; with this mixture of appearances an Antique Oak PatinaDeep floor can anchor a variety of design motifs from rustic to refined
