3-D Drawings Pulsates Message
The beauty of a permanent marker comes alive with the art work of German artist Heike Weber. Her drawings create a 3-Dimensional feel that embarks the motion of flowing. It's the ripples of a lake or even the tubular movements of a lava lamp that can portray the art of her work. Her artworks wavy patterns makes one believe it has a beat almost like the rhythm in a song. It's all hard to believe what one can do with a little patience, creativity, and a permanent marker. The artist starts out by drawing her loopy shapes on sheets of paper, then proceeds to making them permanent by repeating the process on a room’s floor, ceiling and walls, with markers. I can’t imagine how much patience you need to do all the drawing by hand, considering you’re pretty much tracing the same lines over and over again, but I guess that’s just one of the qualities that make Heike Weber a great artist. What’s even more impressive is some her installations are larger than 5,000 square feet.
