Wishbone Chair by Carl Hansen & Søn

Danish furniture company carl hansen & søn has been producing chairs designed by iconic danish designer Hans J. Wegner for more than 60 years. a particular classic of Wegner’s is the ‘CH24′, whose first model was produced in 1950 by the manufacturer. Though at the beginning of its production, feedback was not so positive and retailers bought only a few pieces for their stores; today ‘CH24′ has become the best-selling model of Carl Hansen & Søn. the design is also known as the ‘Y chair’ or ‘wishbone chair’, for its particular back shape composed of undulating forms and natural use of material. Now 60 years after the chair was first released, it is available in beech lacquered that comes in a number of new shades of green, blue and purple. it is incredible how color can transform a historical classic model like the ‘Wishbone Chair’ and adapt it for a contemporary setting.
