Subdivided Columns by Michael Hansmeyer

On exhibit at the Gwangju Biennale in South Korea from September 2 through October 23, 2011 is Subdivided Columns. The 3-meter high columns are composed of individual layers of cardboard held together by their sheer weight. Michael Hansmeyer, an architect teaching at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, designed the Java computer program to create this outstanding materials exhibit.
