Spiral Torque

I've been visualizing this piece for many years. It's sort of influenced by horns of many animals but also by the pioneering work in metalsmithing by the brilliant Danish turn-of-the-century silversmith Georg Jensen. Granted, working in stainless steel (as in this piece) is a bit more challenging than silver, but his ORGANIC FORMS are what I'm referring to.To finally accomplish this form after so many years is certainly gratifying on one level.Stainless steel is rather less forgiving than most metals to forge and requires much patience and concentration.
