Tewantin House by Bark Architects

Inspiration for the Tewantin House was the mid-last century timber and fibro fishing shacks and ‘wedgies’ which dotted the coast, particularly in the hamlet of Tewantin on the banks of the Noosa river. They were and still are particularly important to maintaining the rich character of the coastal river community. The spatial experience of this house focuses on the central double height living dining zone which enables leisurely outdoor subtropical living on the North.
