Interior designer Darren James created this contemporary kitchen for a family living in Wellington Point, Queensland, Australia. As its name would imply, the project adapts the simplicity and order of Japanese design to the needs of an Australian lifestyle. Sliding shoji doors provide the perfect divider between the kitchen and butler's pantry.
