Balhannah House by Max Pritchard Architects

This substantial home is set in a backdrop of large gum trees with views over endless rolling hills of pasture and vineyards. The long thin form facing north maximizes the use of the sun for winter heating. External louvers over the terrace, may be adjusted for summer shade. Photovoltaic cells on the roof generate electricity, and incorporate a unique feature allowing excess heat to be ducted down to the house to aid winter heating
