Plyable by Sawdust Bureau

After salvaging more than 100 metres of plywood strip offcuts from a skip, we set about laminating them, layer by layer, into a piece of furniture. The resulting form resembles a pair of conjoined, non-identical twins. Both share a common aesthetic but each display their own individual characteristics. The pair are linked by concealed magnetic connections and in a conjoined state, can be utilised as a coffee table or side table with built-in book/magazine storage and an integrated, embedded flower vase. By breaking the bond and separating the twins, they can be rearranged into a number of different configurations and uses, ranging from bedside tables to casual seating.
