Laissez-faire is a credenza with cupboards + drawers. The piece tells a story about Capitalism. The design uses colour line + form for their symbolic values as outlined in the teachings at the Bauhaus and follows the precepts of Ferdinand du Saussure structural linguistics. The design on the base, 'Stuff', and was developed for the design + is hand painted. The skulls are from original photos and are also hand painted. The designer Gary Morga refers to this design as 'Postdogmata" which stems from a deep rooted rejection of dogma + propaganda. Produced as a limited edition. There are four original paintings that are a part of the project and are one off.
