Olio by Edward Barber Jay Osgerby

Olio is a design created by England-based designer Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby. Olio is new range of tableware by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby for the ceramic company, Royal Doulton. In the English language Olio means a miscellaneous collection of things and the range is built from a combination of materials and surface finishes: ceramic, wood and stainless steel, different clays, glazed and unglazed elements. It is an idiosyncratic mix of shapes and materials; the principle idea behind Olio is that it is not a set, it is a collection, and because of that the pieces will sit happily alongside other objects in the home.
