It is the most complex and the largest experimental facility built till date and is known as the worlds largest single machine. The LHC was built by the CERN, European Organization for Nuclear Research between 1999 and 2008 which the efforts of over 10,000 engineers and scientists from 100 countries, laboratories and universities.
