Kyodo House by FAREAST

Kyodo House is a minimalist residence located in Tokyo, Japan, designed by FAREAST. Taking advantage of the trapezoid shape of the site, the building is composed of a combined strip of three blocks that conform to the width of the site. The volumes divide the programs in the north courtyard, and creates space for the balconies, staircases, and light wells. Although the home is compact, the architects aimed to provide privacy while incorporating certain aspects of the outside to the space.
