Bow Lake by Night Panorama
A 360 panorama (in fish-eye projection) of Bow Lake in Banff National Park, Alberta on a very dark and clear night, July 17, 2018. The Milky Way toward the galactic core lies above Bow Glacier at right. Saturn is reflected in the still waters. The Big Dipper is at top low in the north. Bands of green airglow colour the sky to the south at bottom. A magenta and green glow to the north at top is from aurora. A STEVE isolated arc aurora appeared earlier in this night. I shot this about 2:45 am July 17, 2018, shooting three tiers of 7 segments each, with the 20mm Sigma Art lens at f/2 and Nikon D750 at ISO 6400 for 30 seconds for each segment. I used the Syrp Genie Mini for the automatic camera positioning in azimuth. I stitched the panorama with PTGui.
