Panorama, the new bamboo board for exteriors by Deco

Deco's research continues to provide outdoor areas suitable for all functional and stylistic demands. Today, the company's range of coverings is joined by the Panorama, designed to meet the ever-changing design needs. An excellent alternative to solid wood floors, Panorama gives an elegant and exotic look to the environment and brings extraordinary technical advantages. This wood in fact, originating in Asia and Latin America, and very widespread also in Africa, thanks to its lightness, resistance and versatility, is very appreciated by architects and engineers. After the bamboo harvest, the grasses are altered through a special thermo-treatment process at 200C to make them more compact and stable, protecting the surface and guaranteeing longer life. Thanks to the thermal compression treatment and high density, the essence has unique characteristics: its bamboo slats are totally straight and stabilizerd, not subjected torsion; they are weatherproof, maintaining a natural aspect for years (graying over 5 times slower than any other natural wood). A further advantage of this Deco product is the significant resistance to impact and traction that leads it to be among the most robust natural woods, so much so that it has earned the title of "natural steel". Moreover, the high flexibility leads it to effectively absorb vibrations. Another important feature, perfect for public spaces, is the Bfl class fire resistance. The slats, available in different colors and sizes, are perfect for the home as well as for environments subject to wear and tear such as around swimming pools, seafront and places subject to extreme weather conditions. Moreover, its features mean it can also be used for covering the facades of buildings. Finally, Panorama represents an eco-sustainable solution: it is made using an infinite resource, harvested without causing deforestation: in fact, bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world and five years later one section can be harvest while the others continue to grow.
